Bottle gourd Halwa - Lauki ka Halwa
Ingredients (for 4 people)
- 1 small bottle gourd (300 g)
- 100 grams of sugar
- 1 glass of milk (300 ml)
- 50 g of (Mawa) milk solids
- 3 tbsp ghee
- 2 small cardamom powder
- 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (cashews, almonds, Cirunji)
Method
- Peel and grate bottle gourd (lauki).
- Put ghee in a pan and heat, add grated bottle gourd with milk and cook until milk absorbed
- Add sugar and milk solids (mawa) and fry for 8-10 minutes
- Add the cardamom powder and chopped nuts.
- Serve and eat hot bottle gourd halwa (Lauki ka halwa).
