Carrot Halwa or Gajar ka Halwa
Ingredients
- 1 kg big carrots
- ½ liters Milk
- 15-20 Cashew
- 4-5 cardamom
- ½ kg sugar
- 100 g ghee
Method
- Wash and peel the carrots and grate.
- Boil milk in a heavy bottomed pot, add grated carrots in it.
- Cook on low heat for about an hour until milk absorb.
- Add the sugar and stir continuously till dried.
- Heat butter in a separate pot and pour halwa in it.
- Add cardamoms, roasted cashew nuts and mix well.
- Fry for 5 minutes and turn off the gas
- Carrot halwa is ready.
