South Indian Style Curd Rice
Ingredients
- Rice 1 cup
- Water 2 cup
- Milk 1 cup
- Beaten curd 1cup
- Mustard seeds 1/4tsp
- Channa and urad dal 1/2tsp
- Green chillies 3
- Curry leaves few
- Asafetida 1 pinch
- Oil 1 tps
- Salt as per taste
- Few Coriander Leaves, Pomegranate, Grapes for garnishing
Method
- Wash rice and cook in the pressure cooker with 2 cup of water,
- add 1cup of milk &salt in the cooked rice and mash the rice with spatula.
- Heat oil in a deep pan,add mustard seeds, when mustard seeds pops, add dals, green chilies, curry leaves & asafetida.
- Stir for 1 min, and add rice turn over the heat.
- Now add curd in the rice and mix thoroughly.
- Garnish with coriander, pomegranate and grapes.
- Serve hot with picle
