Gujrati Kadhi
Materials
§ ½ cup gram flour
§ 3 tsp sugar
§ Salt to taste
§ ½ teaspoon chili powder
§ 1 inch piece of cinnamon
§ 300 g whisked yogurt
§ Four and a half cups of water
§ 3 tbsp oil
§ 1 tsp mustard
§ Pinch of asafetida powder
§ Curry leaves 10 - 15
§ Whole red chilies 2
§ 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves to decorate
Method
§ Mix sugar, salt and red chili powder in gram flour. Mix well, and then add whisked yogurt and water. Blend thoroughly so that there should not be any lumps.
§ Heat oil in a pan add mustard seed ,Asafetida ,Curry leaves and whole red chilies and fry light, add a piece of cinnamon
§ Then add the yogurt and flour mixture to a boil on high heat
§ Then cook for 15-20 minutes on low heat.
§ Garnish with coriander leaves Serve hot with rice or chapatti.
