Lobiya ki sabji

Ingredients

250 gram Fresh green lobiya beans

2 medium size potato

1 tbls gram flour

1 medium size onion

2-3 cloves garlic

1 tsp coriander powder

½ tsp red chilli powder

½ tsp turmeric powder

½ tsp  cumin seed (jeera)

1 pinch asafetida (Heeng)

2 tbls vegetable oil

1 tbls chopped green coriander leaves for garnishing

salt as per your taste

Method

Wash the beans and cut into 1/2 cm small pieces.

Peel and cut small pieces of potato

Make a smooth paste of onion and garlic's

Now heat oil in a heavy bottom pan, put heeng and cumin  when cumin turn brown add onion and garlic paste and fry till oil separate.

Now add gram flour and fry 2 minutes.

Add chopped beans and  potato and fry for few seconds.

Add salt, coriander powder, red chilli powder, and turmeric powder and cook on medium flame for 2-3 minutes.

Add 1/2 cup water and close the lid and cook on medium flame till beans done and water  fully evaporated. Stir in between to avoid burning. Alu Lobiya is ready.

Turn the gas stove off  and garnish with coriander leaves.
