Jackfruit Achari Achari Kathal
Materials
§ 250 g chopped into medium sized pieces of jackfruit
§ Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
§ 3-4 chopped tomatoes
§ Yellow mustard powder 1 tablespoon
§ Red chili powder ½ tsp
§ 1 tsp turmeric
§ Cumin powder ½ tsp
§ Coriander powder ½ tsp
§ Amchur 3 tsp
§ Salt to taste
§ 250 grams of mustard oil
Method
- Marinate the Jackfruit with turmeric and salt for ½ hours.
- Steam cook the Marinated jackfruit for about 20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry jackfruit pieces till golden brown.
- Now heat oil in a separate pan, add cumin seeds after that add ginger garlic paste, then tomatoes and cook till oil separate.
- Then add jackfruit and all spices except amchur powder, cook for 15-20 minutes on low flame.
- Now add amchur and turn off the gas.
- Garnish with long chopped chilli and coriander leaves
- Serve hot with Paratha and rice or dal.
