Marwadi Rasedaar Alu ki Sabji (Without Onion Garlic)
Ingredients
4-5 medium sized boiled potatoes (cutor mashed into cubes)
2-3 medium sized tomatoes
1/2 inch ginger peice
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp ghee
1 tsp cumin seeds
1-2 green chillies
1/2 tsp asafoetida powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 coriander powder
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
1 glass water to make the gravy
salt to taste
Method
Make paste of tomato, ginger and green chilly and keep aside
Heat oil in a kadai or a heavy bottomed vessel.
Add turmeric powder and tomato paste.
Saute on a low flame for few minutes.
Add coriander powder, red chilli powder and garam masala
Saute till oil separates.
Add the potatoes and saute for 5 minutes.
Add water to make a gravy.
Boil on a medium flame till the gravy thickens a little.
Heat ghee in a taadka pan add, cumin seeds, asafoetida powder, and red chilly powder and put on the gravy.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with purees or paratha.
