Hariyali PaneerMakkhani

 

Ingredients (for 3-4 servings)

  • 200 gram fresh paneer

  • 2 tbsp green chilli paste

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • For gravy

  • 3-4 green tomatoes

  • 1 tbsp green garlic leaves

  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste

  • 2 tbsp spring onion

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 bay leave

  • 2 cloves

  • 1-2 green cardamom

  • 1 inch piece of cinnamon

  • 2 tbsp mawa

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • 2 tbsp fresh cream

  • 1 tsp kasoori methi

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 2 tsp honey

  • Salt as per taste

 

 

Method (How to make hariyaali paneer makkhani)

  • Cut paneer into ½ inch cubes and marinate with lemon juice, salt and chilli paste and keep aside for 30-40 minutes.

  • Make puree of green tomatoes.

  • Chopped green garlic and spring onion into small small pieces.

  • Heat oil in a pan, add the chopped green garlic and spring onion and sauté for 2 minutes. When cool down completely make paste.

  • Heat butter in deep kadhai, add bay leaf, cloves, cardamoms, cinnamon and sauté for 30 seconds.

  • Add ginger garlic paste and sauté till raw smell gone.

  • Add paste and tomato puree and sauté till oil separate.

  • Add mawa and kasoori methi sauté for few seconds, add marinated paneer and mix well.

  • Add fresh cream and garam masala and mix gently.

  • Hariyali paneer makkhani is ready serve with naan chapatti or pulav.
