Thandai
Ingredients (for 4-5 servings):
- 1 liter milk
- ½” stick cinnamon
- ½tspanise seeds (Saunf)
- 10-12 almonds
- 10-12 cashews
- 10-12 pistachios
- 1 tbsp dry rose petals
- ¼ tsp white peppercorns powder
- ¾ tsp poppy seeds (Khuskhus)
- 3-4 cardamom’s powdered (green elaichi powder )
- ¾cup sugar
Method (How to make Thandai)
- Soak cashew, almonds, pista, rose petals and peppy seed for atleast 4 hrs.
- Take a grinder and add cardamom powder, pepper powder, anise seeds, cinnamon and soked items, grind them to form a smooth paste.
- Now mix all ingredients in the milk, add sugar and mix well.
- Now filter it with juice filter (you can again grinde and mix in the milk the leftover paste)
- Keep in the fridge to cool.
- Before serving, whip thandai in a blender and serve chilled in hot summer.
