Kaddu ya Pumkin Halwa



  • 2 cups Grated ripe yellow pumpkin
  • 2 cups milk
  • 200g Milk Solid or Mawa
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup nuts (almonds, raisins, cashews)
  • 2 cardamom (powder)
  • 1 pinch saffron
  • 1 Table Spoon ghee.
  • 1/2 cup dry coconut (Grated).


  • Peel and wash the pumpkin.
  • Grate the pumpkin boil with water.
  • After cooling drain all the water by squeezing with hand.
  • Take oil in pan add the pumpkin and milk and cook on low flame.
  • When the pumpkin absorbs all the milk then add milk solid saffron.
  • Add sugar and Stair continuously until dry.
  • Add cardamom power and nuts mix well.
  • Garnish with grated coconut and serve hot.
