Carrot Halwa or Gajar ka Halwa





  • 1 kg big carrots
  • ½ liters Milk
  • 15-20 Cashew
  • 4-5 cardamom
  • ½ kg sugar
  • 100 g ghee




  • Wash and peel the carrots and grate.
  • Boil milk in a heavy bottomed pot, add grated carrots in it.
  • Cook on low heat for about an hour until milk absorb.
  • Add the sugar and stir continuously till dried.
  • Heat butter in a separate pot and pour halwa in it.
  • Add cardamoms, roasted cashew nuts and mix well.
  • Fry for 5 minutes and turn off the gas
  • Carrot halwa is ready.
