Aam ka Katta - Meetha Galka - Instant Mango Pickle

Ingredient

  • 500 grams raw mangoes
  • 500 grams gur
  • 1 tsp saunf (fennel seed)
  • 1 tsp methi (feugreek seed)
  • 1 tsp kalonji (black seed)
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp oil

Method ( How to make instant sweet mango pickle)

  • Wash and peel mangoes
  • Cut in small peices, remove the seed.
  • Fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, black seeds togather.
  • Grind coarsely in a blender.
  • Now heat oil in pan, put heeng, turmeric and add mango peices. and saute few mins.
  • Add the masala mixture and chilly powder into mango.
  • Now add jaggrey along with 1 cup water.
  • Boil it till jaggrey melts completely and become thick and the mango become soft.
  • Store in a tight glass jar, it will remain good for 1 week out and for 1 month in the fridge.
