Donut - Donuts


§  1 cup refined flour

§  1 teaspoon yeast

§  Sugar 1/3 cup (Powder sugar to mix with flour)

§  2 pinch of salt

§  Baking powder ½ tsp

§  1 tbsp butter

§  Oil for frying

§  ½ cup Powder sugar for coating


Soak the yeast in warm water until it dissolved.

Sieve the flour and mix the powder sugar, salt, baking powder, butter and yeast

knead the soft dough.

Roll out the dough around 1cm thick roti.

Cut the small pieces from the roti using donut cutter or a steel glass.

Also make the hole in the center for donut shape.

Use again the remaining dough and make the other donut similarly.

Then keep it covered for about four hours or until they become double in size.

Heat oil in a pan and fry donuts until golden on both sides.

After cooling down sprinkle the ground sugar on all the side of donut.

Donut is ready.
