Kurkure Hare Mater Masala

Crunchy green peas masala - Kurkure Hare Mater Masala



  •     500 grams of dried green peas
  •     Salt - to taste
  •     Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
  •     Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
  •     Mango powder - ½ teaspoon
  •     Turmeric powder - ½ teaspoon
  •     Asafoetida - 1 pinch
  •     Oil for frying peas

Recipe - How to make Mater Kurkure Namkeen

  • Wash the green peas, and soak in water for 5-6 hours or overnight.
  • Take out all the water put the peas in the cooker,then add 1 cup of water and boil till its start pressure in the cooker. Do not wait for the vessle
  • Cool the cooker and take out the peas and remove the water.   
  • Put boiled peas on the clean clothes  for 2-3 hours in the shade so they should be dry.
  • Take a heavy bottom pan and heat the oil and fry the peas till it become light and float on the oil.
  • Now when all the peas floting on the oil then fry it till brown and cryspy.
  • Keep out fried peas in a sieve, and  put seive on a plate  to remove the excess oil on the plate.
  • Now mix all the spices in peas and let it be cool completely, peas will become more crunchy after coling down.
  • The crunchy green peas  masala is ready. store in a air tight box.
