Shahi Gobhi Masala

 

 

Ingredients (for 3-4 servings)

  • 2 cup gobhi pieces

  • 1 medium size onion (chopped)

  • 2 green cardamom

  • 2 cloves

  • 2 bay leaves

  • ½ cup tomato (chopped)

  • ½ tsp sugar

  • ¾ cup boiled peas

  • 2 tbsp fresh cream

  • ¾ cup curd

  • 3 tsp ghee

  • Salt as per taste

  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)

 

For paste 

  • 2 cardamom

  • 3 cloves

  • 2 tsp coriander

  • ½ tsp cumin

  • 4-5  garlic cloves

  • 1 inch ginger

  • 1 inch cinnamon

  • ½ tsp turmeric

  • 1 medium size onion (roughly chopped)

  • 5-6 cashew

  • 1 tsp red chilli powder

 

 

Method (How to make Shahi Gobhi Masala)

 

  • Clean and half boiled the gobhi pieces, boiled tomato and make puree.

  • Make fine paste with the paste ingredients.

  • Heat ghee in a wok add, cardamom, cloves and bay leaves.

  • Add chopped onion and fry till light brown, add paste and sauté for 4-5 minutes.

  • Add tomato puree and curd sauté for 2-3 minutes.

  • Add boiled peas and gobhi. Add fresh cream and mix well.

  • Add salt and cook for 4-5 minutes on medium flame.

  • Remove from the heat and garnish with coriander leaves.

  • Serve hot shahi gobhi paratha or roti.
