Gobhi Musallam

Ingredients (for 4 servings)

2 small size cauliflower

2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tbsp oil

1 cup grated onions

1 tsp garlic paste

1 tsp ginger paste

1 tsp cumin seeds powder

1 tsp coriander powder

1 tsp chilli powder

salt to taste

1 tsp garam masala

1/2 cup tomato puree

1/2 cup cashew nut paste

For The Garnish

1 tbsp chopped coriander

1 tbls fresh cream

Method (How to make gobhi musallam)

Boil the cauliflower florets in the salted water with 1 tsp turmeric powder till half cooked and keep aside.

Heat the oil in a kadhai, add the grated onions and sauté until golden brown in colour.

Add the ginger paste, garlic paste, and saute for few seconds.

Add cumin seeds powder, coriander seeds powder, remaining turmeric powder, garam masala, chilli powder and salt, stir continusly for half a minute.

Add the tomato puree and cook till oil seperate from the masala.

Add kaju paste, and 1 cup of water, mix well and bring it to a boil.

Add half cooked cauliflower and cook on dum for 10 minutes.

Garnished with fresh cream and chopped coriander.

Serve hot with chapati or nan.
