Bottle Gourd curry or Lauki ki sabji

 

Materials (for 2-3 servings)

 

2 cups - bottle gourd – Lauki (diced)

 

1/2 tsp - cumin

 

1 pinch - asafoetida

 

1/4 tsp - turmeric powder

 

1/4 tsp - red chilli powder

 

1 tsp - amchoor powder or lemon juice

 

1/2 tsp - coriander powder

 

1 tbsp coriander chopped

 

Salt to taste

 

Method

 

Wash and peel lauki and Cut into small pieces.

 

Heat oil in a cooker add cumin and asafoetida.

 

Add turmeric powder and diced lauki.

 

Add salt and stir well.

 

Cover the lid of cooker and cook for 2-3 whistle.

 

Open the lid Add amchoor or lime juice and stir welland cook in high flame till water absorb.

 

Garnish with chopped coriander.

 

Serve with chapati or paratha.
