Ingredients (for 4-5 servings):


  • 1 liter milk
  • ½” stick cinnamon
  • ½tspanise seeds (Saunf)
  • 10-12 almonds
  • 10-12 cashews
  • 10-12 pistachios
  • 1 tbsp dry rose petals
  • ¼ tsp white peppercorns powder
  • ¾ tsp poppy seeds (Khuskhus)
  • 3-4 cardamom’s powdered (green elaichi powder )
  • ¾cup sugar


Method (How to make Thandai)


  • Soak cashew, almonds, pista, rose petals and peppy seed for atleast 4 hrs.
  • Take a grinder and add cardamom powder, pepper powder, anise seeds, cinnamon and soked items, grind them to form a smooth paste.
  • Now mix all ingredients in the milk, add sugar and mix well.
  • Now filter it with juice filter (you can again grinde and mix in the milk the leftover paste)
  • Keep in the fridge to cool.
  • Before serving, whip thandai in a blender and serve chilled in hot summer.
